Though we often have issues pertaining to network congestion, delayed SMS, erroneous bills, recent developments at Indian wireless industry is reiterating its market potential & will to grow. Hope we all will soon see a better, matured mobile industry, which is all set to play the next innings, Here are few news:

- FDI cap hiked to 74% for Telecom, welcomed across the industry, and surely going to have multiplier effect.

If the mobile phone guys can provide good Internet access via their phones with decent speeds, not only their revenues, but also the PC penetration will take off.

Specialized web-based apps (a la e-choupal) will take off, leading to grass-roots development in India.

I agree that there is a lot of untapped potential in the India market...with agressive penetration-friendly pricing/business models.
